We went to see JJ's great granny this morning. I felt really bad because JJ is already 9 months old and he didn't meet her even once. Probably it sounds crazy but that's the truth. JJ's granny got ill when great granddad died and since than she started seeing things, imagining that there are people underneath her bed and that the neighbour's son is trying to kill her. First of course all family was trying to help her and investigate all this crazy accusations, but they soon realised that something was wrong with her. It was obvious - she couldn't live on her own, so she moved to my parents in law. Very soon they realised that she is a danger to all family and herself. The things she was doing were crazy and there was no other choice than putting her to home. She's got nice careers and all the medications she needs, but still doesn't recognise people, says strange things. Since she started taking new medication, sometimes it's possible to talk to her for a while. We went to see her today and it was quite upsetting experience. She didn't want to sit down or talk to anyone. She was walking through corridors saying "I don't know them", " I'm not hungry", I want to go home". There was one moment when she looked at JJ and looked like she understood that he's her great grandson, but than she just stood up and walked away saying "I'm going home". It brakes my heart to see her in this state, but we will keep going there from now on. Maybe one day she will realise who he is, hold him and give him a hug..,
Have a lovely day everyone! I'm going back to my cleaning. There is so much to do.
